Quick Picks Week 40, 2013 – featuring handmade wedding favours, secret paintings, and travel tips.
I keep forgetting that this weekend is a long weekend and trying to book things for Monday. So as I get my head around the concept, here’s this week’s quick pick of internet finds to help you wind down in preparation for three days away from work. Rather aptly this week, as usual, good things come in threes…
♥ Discovering Polka Dot Bride’s favourite Etsy finds just got easier thanks to the new Polka Dot Bride page on Etsy.
♥ The styling team at Jesi Haack Designs have taken the concept of creative aisle runners to a new level with these one-off designs.

♥ The idea of secret paintings on the fore-edges of books appeals to me enormously.
♥ Social media can make our world a little strange at times. I love this take on the hashtag phenomenon by Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake. Note: this link will take you to a video that may play automatically.
♥ Having returned from our last trip three weeks ago, it’s obviously time for us to start planning our next one. This list of 101 travel tips makes me want to starting packing my bags now.

♥ The Gasworks Plaza is now up and running in Newstead. They have a whole host of places to eat and shop, and they’re hosting free live music sessions on Fridays from 5:30pm and Sundays from 3:30pm.
That’s it for another week’s quick picks. Have a great weekend!
P.S. We don’t receive payment or gifts to list products or services in our Quick Picks, we link to stuff because we like it.
