Quick Picks – featuring thunderstorms captured in lights and photographs, and an oceanic abyss in a table

Quick Picks

This week’s quick pick of internet finds focuses on the wonders of nature turned into art. As usual, good things come in threes…

I will freely admit to having a fascination with interesting lighting. So it’s no surprise that this thunderstorm lamp by Richard Clarkson had me quickly scanning for the price. Sadly at over $3000 it’s a bit steep for my budget, but that doesn’t stop me from loving it.

Sticking with storms, the photographs in photographer Jody Miller’s storm series are wonderful. I can imagine these up on a wall as giant acrylic prints.

Moving now from stormy skies, to the depths of the ocean, the Abyss Table by Duffy London seems to have captured the imaginations of design bloggers this week. It is beautiful, and with a production run of just 25 tables, and a price tag of a cool £5800, it’s beauty that will only be available to a precious few.

P.S. We don’t receive payment or gifts to list things in Quick Picks, we link to stuff because we like it.
